We will be applying a regular site upgrade during this time. A native app update from the Apple or Android app store will be required following the update.
Note:
Our previous release on October 1st encountered an unusual delay in our iOS app becoming available to users in the Apple App Store. Most users were unable to update their app until Sunday evening instead of Sunday morning as scheduled. We have not experienced that type of delay at any time over the past 5 years with the Apple App Store, so we are hopeful, but not confident, that the issue will not recur during this release. Apple support was able to confirm the delay but was unable to provide specific details about the underlying cause or the likelihood of it repeating in the future.
Due to the nature of the various components we deploy, including a dependency on both Apple and Android app stores, it is not currently possible for us to guarantee that both apps are released simultaneously along with our server and web-based components.
Our team is currently working on a long-term solution that should reduce the dependency on simultaneous app store updates. Until that solution is in place, we will continue to monitor and communicate any unexpected delays, if they occur.
